C. Craig Doran
C. Craig Doran, 60, passed away at 2:06 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born on Jan. 5, 1955, in Warsaw, to Byron C. Doran and JoAnn (Cole) Doran. He was a 1973 graduate of Mentone High School and a 1977 graduate of Butler University where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He married Linda Decker Owens on Oct. 10, 2009, Cocoa Beach, Fla.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and the owner of Warsaw Black Oxide in Burket. Craig was kind and generous, always positive and enjoyed the simple things in life. He had attended 52 Indianapolis 500 races. He loved playing golf and fishing; He was an avid Colts, Bears, White Sox and Notre Dame football fan. Craig will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Doran, Burket; stepson: Alex Owens, West Lafayette; brother: Dr. Chris (Diane) Doran, Winona Lake; brother-in-Law: Miguel Canda, Miami, Fla.; Mattie Doran, Winona Lake.
He was preceded in death by father: Byron Doran, Aug. 6, 1999; mother: JoAnn, Doran, May 18, 2011; sister: Lisa Canda, March 23, 2012.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club, Warsaw. A memorial service will occur at 6:45 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club. Pastor Mike Beezley, Clunette United Methodist Church, Clunette, will officiate.
