Leandro Mascorro Lopez Jr.
Leandro Mascorro Lopez Jr., 68, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 in his residence.
On July 1, 1946, he was born in Au Gres, Mich. to Leandro and Francisca (Mascorro) Lopez Sr. He moved to Warsaw in 1964 from Elsa, Texas.
Leandro worked for R.R. Donnelley and Sons, Inc., for thirty nine years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw and a member of American Legion Post #49, Warsaw. He was a generous and giving man, who would give his shirt off his back or give his last dollar to someone in need. He loved woodworking and enjoyed having a good time. He loved to cook and he would bring food for everyone.
Leandro is survived by three sons: Leo ( Julie) Lopez, Bourbon, Noel Hackworth, Fresno, Calif. and Lorenzo (Jill) Lopez, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Wesley (Shelby) Kowal, Bremen, and Isabella Lopez, Warsaw; his best friend, Amelia “Amy” Lopez, Warsaw; three brothers, Salvadore Lopez, Librado Lopez and Loy Lopez, all of Texas and three sisters, Clarita Cortez, Olivia Taylor and Ofelia Gonzalez, all of Texas. Leandro was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ore Lozano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation hours will be from 4–7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
