Frank J. Yuraitis
Frank J. Yuraitis, 73 passed away from a heart attack at 7:19 p.m. Feb. 9, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1941, in Gary, to John and Helen Marie (Ozug) Yuraitis. He had lived in Claypool since 2005 coming from Lake Station. He graduated from Gary Edison High School in 1959. He married Donna Renee Jentzen on Feb. 25, 1998, in Crown Point.
Frank served in the U.S. Navy from June 18, 1959 to Sept. 26, 1962. His rank was an E-4 serving as his last assignment on the U.S.S. Henrico.
After leaving the Navy, Frank became an overhead crane operator at US Steel in Gary. Then later, he became the owner and manager of a CB shop. Frank was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the American Legion Post #777 in Indianapolis. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Surviving Frank is his wife: Donna, Claypool; four children: Cheryl (Danny) Hood, Casselberry, Fla.; Keith (Terry) Yuraitis, St. John; Cathleen (Sean) Evans, Griffith; Patrick Strickland, Crown Point; four brothers: Duane, Donald, Bob and Louis Yuraitis; numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Brian Yuraitis.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Earl-Love Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements
