Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
12:07 p.m. Friday, March 6, East US 30, Warsaw. unoccupied vehicle registered to Ronald E. Blanton, East Pierceton Road, Pierceton. Blanton parked in parking lot of Pak-a-Sak, thought he put his vehicle in park. While inside the station the vehicle rolled backward down a grade, through a wood fence, crossing CR 250E hitting a railroad crossing sign. Investigating officer stated it appears the truck was put in neutral or slipped into neutral after the driver exited the vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:08 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 202 E. Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Joseph W. Clevenger, 31, Laurelwood Drive, Warsaw. Injured: Randy Walgamuth, homeless, Warsaw, who suffered a contusion/bruise to the knee/lower leg/foot. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment. Clevenger was turning left around Lake City Bank to use the ATM when he heard a voice yelling he ran over a person’s foot. He stopped, saw Walgamuth laying in the corner beside the building. Due to the dark conditions and low lighting, Clevenger said did not see Walgamuth. Walgamuth stated he was sitting in a corner passed out with his feet laying in the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.
2:52 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 216 N. Lake St., Warsaw. Driver: Christie K. Sweeny, 52, South 400W, Silver Lake. Sweeny was backing from parking space and ht a utility pole. Damage up to $1,000.
