Man Arrested After Stand-Off With Police
Jeffrey Reames, 30, 304 W. Washington St., Bourbon, was arrested after holding police at bay for 45 minutes, on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Bourbon Police officer Mathew Haskins saw Reams at approximately 6:55 p.m. outside the residence at 304 S. Washington St., and knew there was a warrant for his arrest. When Haskins went to the home to speak with Reams, he (Reames) saw the officer at the door and ran to the back of the residence, refusing to obey orders to come to the door.
Assistance was called and negotiations began, lasting for about 45 minutes, when he surrendered to the officers and was taken into custody.
Reames was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held for his parole warrant. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Bourbon Police were assisted by the Marshall County Police and Argos Police departments.
