Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following accidents:
7:27 a.m. Monday, March 2, East CR 200N, east of North Biomet Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Heath W. Cripe, 37, South Blaine Street, North Webster. Cripe lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions, resulting in a collision with the guardrail. Damage up to $25,000
5:57 a.m. Monday, March 2, South SR 25, north of West CR 100S, Warsaw. Driver: Kyle D. Lewis, 26, South SR 25, Mentone. An unidentified driver attempted to pass Lewis on South SR 25, swiping the side of his vehicle and striking his side mirror. The other driver did not stop. Damage under $750.
12:46 p.m. Sunday, March 1, East CR 75N, west of North CR 225E, Warsaw. Driver: Garrett M. Titus, 17, East CR 225S, Warsaw. Titus slid off the road due to icy conditions, striking a tree and a Remax Realtors sign. Damage up to $25,000.
2:35 a.m. Sunday, March 1, East US 30, east of North CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Philip E. Woodling, 58, North Main Street, Churubusco. Injured: Britney L. Shatzer, 29, Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, who was a passenger in the vehicle, complained of neck and back pain and was transported to Parkview Whitley Hospital for further valuation. Woodling lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions, causing his SUV to flip over. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accident:
6:52 a.m. Monday, March 2, 39 Orchard Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Brittany L. Hardesty, 20, South SR 19, Mentone, and Morgan C. Byrd, 24, Manor Club Drive, Raleigh, N.C. Hardesty was backing out of a parking space when she struck Byrd’s vehicle with the rear of her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
