Chris L. Carter, 51, passed away at 3:12 am. Friday, Feb. 27, Kosciusko Community Hospital ER, Warsaw.
She was born on May 29, 1963, in Warsaw to Harry T. Carter and Rosalie A. (Snyder) Carter. She was a lifetime Warsaw resident.
Chris was a homemaker and attended God’s Highway to Heaven and Word of Truth Ministries; enjoyed playing the guitar, flower gardening and music from the 1960s and 1970s – especially the Eagles. She was an animal lover who cared for any animal that came to her door. As Chris was the only girl in the family there was a very special bond with her mom. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters and had a special relationship with her son, Matt. She enjoyed spending time with friends in person and on Facebook. She selflessly and genuinely cared for others including taking them in if they needed a place to stay. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed a special bond with her granddaughter, Paige.
She is survived by her mother: Rosalie ‘Rose’ Carter, Warsaw; two daughters: Lacie Haag, Warsaw; Bethany (Cristofer) Smiley, Warsaw; one son: Matthew Haag, Warsaw; one granddaughter: Paige Haag, at home; three brothers: Timothy ‘Tim’ Carter, Warsaw; Richard ‘Ric’ (Debra “Deb”) Carter, Warsaw; Brian Carter, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by a son: Brandon Haag, May 6, 1987; father: Harry T. Carter, Aug. 28, 2010.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, March 2, at the funeral home. Rev. Bob Brown, God’s Highway to Heaven, Warsaw, will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
