Warsaw Duo, Rostochak Among All-NLC Hoops
GOSHEN – NorthWood’s undefeated run in the Northern Lakes Conference during the girls basketball season afforded the Lady Panthers three of the All-NLC selections as well as head coach Adam Yoder earning Coach of the Year honors.
Yoder led NorthWood to a 7-0 mark in the NLC and 19-6 overall record in his first year as head coach, serving as assistant for several years to retired Lady Panther coaching legend Steve Neff. Headlining the All-NLC list for the Panthers is senior Jordyn Frantz along with classmate Haley Roe and sophomore Taitlyn Trenshaw.
Plymouth and Warsaw tied for second in the conference with 5-2 records. Both teams had two All-NLC selections, seniors Hunter Stevens and Haley Harrell were chosen for Plymouth and sophomores Madi Graham and Dayton Groninger for Warsaw. Sophomore Nicole Horvath of Plymouth and senior Vicki Harris of Warsaw were Honorable Mention All-NLC choices.
Northridge and Memorial were both 4-3 in the NLC, with the Lady Raiders having seniors Taylor Miller and Kelly Miller All-NLC and Baleigh Carithers Honorable Mention All-NLC, and the Lady Chargers with senior Alexsis Miller and junior Adreana Jones All-NLC and freshman Sierra Peete Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Goshen, at 2-5, had junior Olivia Love chosen All-NLC and sophomore Ashton Ellis named Honorable Mention All-NLC. Wawasee was 1-6 and had junior Kylee Rostochak named All-NLC and Concord, at 0-7, had senior MacKenzie Rutter named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
