Donald Joswiak
Donald Joswiak, 81, of Claypool (Yellow Creek Lake), and formerly of Chicago, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.
He was born on Jan. 12, 1934, in Chicago, to Frank and Sophie (Rufkowski) Joswiak. He was first married to Audrey Collins, who preceded him in death. He later married Naomi Sekafetz Car, she survives.
He had worked at IBM as an electrical engineer and retired after 35 years of service. Donald graduated from high school in Chicago and attended several years of college. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and the United States Army. He attended the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Yellow Creek Conservation Club for 16 years. He was known as a joke teller and a big Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his wife; sons: Donald (Donna) Joswiak, Hobart; Matthew Joswiak and Denise, Chicago; eight grandchildren; stepson: Gary Carr and Kelly, Steger, Ill.; and step-grandson: Gary Carr Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; daughter: Julie Thomas; and his brother: John Joswiak.
Honoring his request no service or visitation will be planned. Arrangements are Entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
