Madeline (Holbrook) Nelson Puckett
Madeline (Holbrook) Nelson Puckett, 80, of Warsaw, went home to be with the lord at 5:37 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at her residence.
Madeline was a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 44 years where she worked as a material handler for R.R. Donnelley & Sons in Warsaw. She enjoyed her friends and neighbors, gardening, her flower garden, but most of all her family was her life.
Madeline was born on Aug. 6, 1934, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Milton Holbrook and Eliza (McKenzie) Holbrook. On April 11, 1953, she married Rebel Nelson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2001. She re-married in April of 2007 to her childhood sweetheart Robert ‘Bob’ Puckett, who survives in Warsaw.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Randy Nelson, Warsaw; Rick (Sherri) Nelson, Warsaw; and her daughter: Sandy (Roger) Rowland, Claypool; four step-sons: Mike (Debbie) Puckett, Onstead, Mich.; Chris, Tim, and Todd Puckett, all of Jackson, Mich.; four step-daughters: Robin Puckett; Sharon (Mike) Glance; Mary (Doug) Millican, all of Jackson; Genny (Vern) Krause, Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother: Martin Holbrook, Warsaw; and two sisters: Annie (Bob) Hackworth, Carey, Ohio; Bethlee Wallen, Prestonsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; four brothers; five sisters; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Terry Bradford.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 3489 E. 100 S., Pierceton, IN 46562 and would be appreciated by her family.
