TVS Mourns Passing Of High School Student
Tippecanoe Valley’s students, staff, and the community are grieving the passing of Tippecanoe Valley High School junior Chance Beck. Notification was received this afternoon that Chance passed away earlier today at his home in Miami County.
Students and staff at Tippecanoe Valley High School were informed of the passing of Chance Beck prior to the end of the school day. School counselors, mental health professionals, and area pastors will be at Tippecanoe Valley High School this afternoon, tomorrow morning, and Monday morning to answer questions and offer support for students and staff.
The public is encouraged to keep the family of Chance Beck, and the students and staff of Tippecanoe Valley High School, in their thoughts and prayers.
Youth suicide prevention speaker Jeff Yalden, who has spoken to students and the community at TVS in the past will be available at the school on Feb. 16-17 to make himself available to everyone who may need “time and conversation”. Yalden noted he will be making a phone call to the Mental Health Professionals in Akron to request their presence those two days as well.
