Dale Singer Nellans
Dale Singer Nellans, 93, 9:27 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Timbercrest Senior Living Community in North Manchester.
He was born July 7, 1921, in Sevastopol, to Herschel Vern Nellans and Mabel Irene (Singer) Nellans. Dale was a 1939 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On July 21, 1947, he was married to Rosellyn M. Pankop in Kendallville.
Dale grew up on Twin Pine Poultry Farm, Sevastopol, moving to Warsaw in 1966. He was the co-owner of Nellow Camp & Sport Center. He retired in 1984. He was a member of the Mentone Masonic Lodge, Mizpha Shrine and former member of Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club. Dale enjoyed fishing, golf and flying
He is survived by two daughters: Marcia Nellans, Warsaw; M. Sue (Maurice) Guiff, Akron; nephew: Roger (Diane) Nellans, Tucson, Ariz.;
He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 14, 2007; brother: Max Nellans; and sister: Helen Spitler.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, in Warsaw. Pastor Denny Bollenbacher, New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
