Cubs To Host Anthem Auditions
SOUTH BEND – The South Bend Cubs will hold open auditions on Saturday, February 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a chance to sing the national anthem during the 2015 season at Four Winds Field. The auditions will take place in the Pepsi Stadium Club, formerly the Upper Deck at Four Winds Field.
Individuals or groups are invited to attend the open audition but must fill out an audition form in advance. The form can be found on the team’s website at www.southbendcubs.com. The audition is free and open to all ages. A legal guardian must accompany those under 18 years old.
Due to time constraints, all individuals and groups will need to perform a live, a cappella version of the national anthem. There is no appointment necessary and performers will audition in the order in which they arrive.
The South Bend Cubs are a Class-A minor league team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. Through the past 27 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2005, and captured 12 division titles. The team is owned and operated by Swing-Batter-Swing, LLC, whose sole shareholder is Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago. Opening Day is on April 9, 2015.
