Middlebury RV Company Recognized As ‘Patriotic Employer’
Grand Design RV in Middlebury was recognized by the office of the Secretary of Defense Tuesday for being a “patriotic employer.” The company was awarded a plaque for showing it’s support of the National Guard and Reserve by employing people who also serve to protect the nation’s safety.
Employee Gilbert Hodges nominated Grand Design for the honor. He has served in the National Guard including a tour in Afghanistan before returning home to his family and his job.
Company president Don Clark said that it was an honor for the business, but feels that Hodges is the real hero.
“You know they’re doing not only our company a service, they’re doing our country a service,” said Clark.
