Marshal Dean Crawford
Marshal Dean Crawford, 58, Pierceton, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, in his residence.
On April 14, 1956, he was born in Mishawaka, Ind., to Murry Elmer Austin and Anita Elaine (Flory) Crawford. He was united in marriage to Patricia Jacobs in Constantine, Michigan on May 2, 1975, who survives.
Marshal worked for Hand Industries, Warsaw; O.E.C., Warsaw and Zimmer Inc., Warsaw as a polisher. He owned Crawford Construction for several years before becoming a truck driver for Warner and Tom Farms, Leesburg. He attended Warsaw Community Church and enjoyed shooting bow and arrow at Albertson’s Gun Shop, Warsaw. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of thirty nine years, Patricia Crawford, Pierceton; four children: Jessica Stromatt, Pierceton, Adam (and spouse Christel) Crawford, Knoxville, Tenn., Joshua (and spouse Jessica) Crawford, South Whitley, and Marlene Crawford, Fort Wayne; his father: Murry E. Crawford, Niles, Mich.; five grandchildren: Austin, Tori, Caleb, Sophia and Olivia; and one sister in Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother; Richard Crawford; and a foster child: Robert Pankop.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 in Warsaw Community Church with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating.
Visitation hours will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 at the church.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton was entrusted with the arrangements.
