UPDATE: Accident Downs Power Lines On CR 175E In Warsaw
Jose L. Vega-Nunez, 20, East CR 200N, Warsaw, was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a laceration to his face and an alcohol blood draw following a one-vehicle accident at 7:21 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18. The accident was on North CR 175E, south of East CR 175N, Warsaw.
The roadway was closed for several hours until KREMC could repair a pole, as the accident caused downed power lines.
Kosciusko County Police report Vega-Nunez failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway, going off the east side of the road and hitting the KREMC pole and a Century Link phone box. An odor of alcoholic beverage was smelled on the driver’s person. Charges are pending the results of the tests.
Damage was estimated up to $50,000.
Initial: Authorities are currently responding to an accident on CR 175E in Warsaw that has resulted in downed power lines. The road will be closed off until the problem is fixed.
