Science Central Hosting Valentine’s Day Murder Mystery
How do you plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day? Dinner and dancing is always a fan favorite. But are you in the mood for the something a little different? Something with a little more… mystery?
Join Science Central on Friday, Feb. 13, for “Mystery at the Museum, My Cold Hearted Valentine,” an adult-only murder mystery. Guests will enjoy a night of drinks and mingling while interviewing suspects and learning techniques used by forensic scientists to investigate murder cases.
At the end of the night, guests will have the opportunity to try and solve the mystery by accusing one of the suspects. Guests who choose correctly will be awarded by being entered into a drawing to win one of two doors prizes featuring items by: Country Heritage Winery, Main Street Bistro, Cinema Center, Botanical Conservatory, Prana Yoga and Jai Juice.
Food and beverages will be a available for purchase from Calhoun Soup, Salad, and Spirits; Jai Juice; and Sol Kitchen. Guests who pre-register online by 10 a.m., Feb. 12, will receive one complimentary drink ticket per individual. Jai Juice will also provide free samples, including a special drink made specifically for this event. 95.1 BEST FM is sponsoring the evening and will be giving away ticketsĀ prior to the event.
“One of the unique aspects of a hands-on science center is that we get to merge both the educational angle and the entertainment side,” said Martin Fisher, executive director. “I’d say a unique, evening, murder mystery for adults certainly fits that theme. Yeah… ‘Cold-Hearted Valentine’… now that will get people to use their brain to solve a mystery, and should be a lot of fun!”
