Commission Retains Officers For 2015
Milford Redevelopment Commission opened its first meeting of 2015 Monday with a unanimous decision to retain officers.
Dan Brown will remain as president, Chuck Bird as vice-president. Other members are secretary and treasurer, Joellen Free, Doug Ruch and Charlotte Siegfried.
The commission then reviewed its finances for 2014, which saw $111,339 in tax increment financing, subsidies and expenditures of $56,478, for a balance of $319,938 going into 2015.
An analysis of future financing by economic advisor Umbaugh suggested TIF distributions to the commission should remain around $111,950 through 2020, due in part to the Chore-Time Brock tax phase-ins.
The commission then answered inquiries from a resident about the intended completion date of the Trupointe Cargill grain facility. The facility is expected to begin accepting grain in the fall of 2016.
The commission also informed the resident national inquiries into the industrial annex have been responded to through both the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation, but there are currently no new development plans in the works.
The commission’s next public meeting is planned for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9.
