Edward Harper
Edward Harper, 69, of Cromwell, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 6, 1945, to Harmon and Helen (VanAman) Harper in Wolf Lake. On July 26, 1969, he married Janet Lee in Ligonier. She survives.
Ed was a farmer and worked at the Cromwell Feed Mill for 65 years and later became owner. He drove school bus for West Noble School System for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, loved Purdue sports, fishing and was an avid toy tractor collector. He also enjoyed following the Indianapolis Colts. Ed was a member of the Cromwell/Kimmell Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife; three children: Heidi (Rich) Karst, Noblesville, Heather (Scott) Yoder, Ligonier; Leo Harper, Ligonier; Jeff (Amber) Harper, Ligonier; six grandchildren; and a brother: Dan (Julie) Harper, Syracuse; four sisters: Mary Esther (Ron) Pullin, Iowa; Becky (Dave) Gibson, Montana; Betty Jo (Tom) Pultz, Washington; Susie (Ron) Dorman, Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
A memorial gathering will be held in Mr. Harper’s honor from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
