Inmate Stabbed to Death in Carlisle Prison
Authorities say an inmate of Wabash Valley Correctional Facility has died after being stabbed Friday, Dec. 26. Kango Douglas, 25, was taken to an Indianapolis hospital after being attacked in a recreation yard and stabbed in the neck, face and head.
The suspect in the attack was reportedly identified and put in restrictive custody at the maximum security prison near Carlisle, IN, approximately 30 miles south of Terre Haute.
Prison records indicate Douglas was serving a 55 year sentence for rape, criminal deviate conduct and burglary stemming from 2008 convictions in Marion county.
