NorthWood Cagers 1-1 In Tourney
MIDDLEBURY – The NorthWood girls basketball team went 1-1 Monday in the Bankers Classic Tournament hosted by Northridge High School.
Columbia City edged past the Panthers 47-44.
Jordyn Frantz scored 17 points to lead NorthWood, which saw its six-game winning streak snapped.
Taitlyn Trenshaw had 10 points and McKayla Fielstra added six for the Panthers.
Frantz netted 17 points to pace her team past Andrean 60-50.
The duo of Fielstra and Trenshaw each had eight points in the win. Arika Flickinger scored seven points.
NorthWood, now 10-4, will play South Bend Adams Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in their final pool play game in the eight-team tourney. The games for places in the tourney will all also take place on Tuesday.
