Fraudster sentenced in Johnson County
Parry Clark of Jacksonville, FL, was sentenced Monday, Dec.22, for defrauding 34 people in Johnson County, Indiana. According to investigators, Clark hired a Johnson County man to help him solicit investors for his medical malpractice insurance company, Prosidian. Clark then used the money for personal gain.
Officials learned of the scam after one of the investors filed a complaint with Indiana State Police. ISP, the Johnson county prosecutor’s office and the Indiana secretary of state’s office all worked together to bring the case to court.
Clark pleaded guilty in September to felony counts of security fraud and fraudulent sale of securities as an unlicensed broker-dealer. He will serve four years in jail and six years probation. He was also ordered to pay back $1.7 million.
