UPDATE: Accident on US 30 Near CR 900E
Two persons sustained minor injuries in two separate accidents at the same location this morning.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Pierceton Police were called at 7:25 a.m. on US 30 at CR 900E.
The first accident occurred when Barbara Dunfee, 58, Columbia City, turned in front of an eastbound vehicle driven by David Callison, unknown age, North Manchester. The Dunfee vehicle then flipped on its top.
Shortly after the accident an eastbound vehicle driven by Toran L. Savant, 29, Syracuse, struck the Dunfee vehicle as it was still in the eastbound lane.
Savant and a child inside his vehicle were uninjured.
Dunfee and Callison were transported by Multi-Township EMS to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Their injuries are unknown.
The accidents were worked together by officers from both the sheriff’s department and Pierceton Police.
INITIAL: Emergency personnel are en route to US 30 in the area of CR 900E, in the eastbound lane.
Multi-Township and Pierceton Fire Department are en route to the scene.
At least two persons sustained minor injuries.
Traffic in the eastbound lane is down to one lane.
