Your Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce partnered with Grace College for an end of the year project. Students from Grace’s Career Institute course were divided into groups and paired with a Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce executive. The class was tasked with creating a more Veteran friendly Chamber, creating new programs for Young Adult Professionals, and promoting Warsaw Community Development Corporation initiatives.
Students presented their progress for their final class on Wednesday, Dec. 10. This project gave students opportunity to connect with businesses in Kosciusko County to document discounts for Veterans and active military. You can find these discounts at www.kchamber.com. The groups had great ideas to incorporate into the Young Adult Professionals, including a Young Adult Professional/Grace College Student mentor program. They were also able to create and evaluate a marketing plan for general retail businesses, and restaurants, as well as events for the Warsaw Community Development Corporation.
Mark Dobson, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce President and CEO commented, “We were most impressed by the students. They engaged and developed sustainable ideas that can be implemented quickly.” The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce looks forward to future partnerships with Grace College.
