NWS Issues Freezing Fog Advisory
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freezing fog advisory in northern Indiana until 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.
According to the NWS, areas of freezing fog with some patchy freezing drizzle will lead to slick spots on walkways and roadways. Localized visibilities are expected to be limited to a quarter of a mile.
The NWS advises drivers to be careful when traversing roadways as they may become slick and hazardous. Sidewalks are also expected to be slick and pedestrians are advised to be cautious.
A freezing fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter of a mile. If driving, the NWS urges you to slow down and be alert for frost on bridge decks causing slippery roads.
