Former Miss Indiana Arrested
Terrin Thomas, a former Miss Indiana pageant winner, was arrested Dec. 10 in Bloomington on several charges, including public intoxication. Officers responded to a call received at 3:30 a.m. regarding an intoxicated woman knocking on an apartment door on East 8th Street for half an hour, yelling to be let in. When they arrived, police found Thomas still outside the door.
Reports indicate that Thomas appeared to be intoxicated based on slurred speech and abusive attitudes toward the officers. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her was also noted. Thomas told police she was looking for her boyfriend, but said she did not have her phone or his number when officers offered to call him for her.
Thomas then attempted to leave, at which time she was placed under arrest. When asked to sit in the back of the squad car, officers say she refused and tried to push them away. She was eventually placed in the car and taken to the Monroe county jail, where she was booked on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
Thomas was the Miss Indiana pageant winner in 2013.
