We received a number of submissions for our Max and Ruby Coloring Contest, but our editorial staff felt 12-year-old Ella Beezley had the best work of art. Ella’s use of shading and attention to detail really impressed us here at Ink Free News.
Her efforts were rewarded with four tickets to Max and Ruby in The Nutcracker Suite at the Honeywell Center last night. She also received a copy of the book “Max Goes Fishing.”
Ella took her aunt, Amber Hardy, and cousins Riley Hoover, 11, and Scarlett Hardy, 4, to the show with her. She was very excited to take Scarlett, who is a big Max and Ruby fan.
Ella’s dad, Mike Beezley, said everybody had a great time at the event, but for Ella it was all worthwhile at the end of the show when Scarlett waved and yelled, “bye, bye, love you.”
We at Ink Free News appreciate all of the talented, young artists who submitted their drawings. In closing: Congratulations Ella, and thanks to everyone who participated in our contest. We hope it was as much fun for you all as it was for us.
