Orthoworx Hosts Silent Auction To Benefit Limitless Park
Appetizers, unique cocktails and generous donations were the pillars of Orthoworx’s silent auction and mixer to benefit the Winona Lake Limitless Park.
Among the items available in the silent auction were an Eagle Creek Farms produce box, a round of golf with cart at Raccoon Run golf course, a gift basket from The Olive Branch, a pizza party at Light Rail Cafe in Winona Lake. In addition, several photos, jerseys and t-shirts autographed by local basketball heroes Mason and Miles Plumlee were available for bidding. Director of Marketing for Orthoworx Tammy Allen expressed her gratitude for all the lovely donations, and stated, “We have had great support through the whole process.”
The Kosciusko County Community Foundation agreed to provide a matching funds grant for all donations received at the event up to $2,000.
KCCF Executive Director Suzanne Light stated, “We are excited to participate in this match opportunity to provide additional funding for Limitless Park. The park aligns with our mission by addressing community needs for the benefit of the greater community.” The sentiment was echoed by Allen, who said, “The park is something that will be good for our community.”
Mud Love had specially made “Limitless” bracelets available for purchase. Exotic cocktails were served by Oak & Alley while such appetizers at goat cheese, smoked salmon and tapenade were available in Three Crowns.
The Limitless Park project will make several key improvements and additions including a splash pad, beach access and a sand-play area as well as restrooms furnished with showers for cyclists and improved playground equipment. The most unique aspect of the makeover will be a piece called the NEOS 360, a game that combines physical activity with technology (see related).
