A 911 call for a burglary in progress resulted in the arrest of three individuals on meth charges today.
Arrested were Shane Wesley Hallstrom, 21, Akron; Ashton Phillips Krider, 20, Silver Lake; and Caitlin Olivia Heisler, 20, Claypool. All three have been preliminarily arrested and charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine. All three are being held on a prosecutorial hold in the Kosciusko County Jail.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, sheriff’s deputies responded at 2:21 a.m. to a possible burglary in progress in the 7000 block of West Northcrest Lane, Claypool. Police were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle, which officers located and stopped at Hohman Lane and CR 900S.
As deputies approached the vehicle, they immediately noted a strong odor associated with the production of methamphetamine. Inside the vehicle, two one-pot method meth labs were found. Officers immediately called for the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and took the three into custody.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined the original location of the potential burglary was owned by Heisler’s parents.
The Drug Task Force and sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office and the Indiana State Police.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises the defendants charges are merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court.
