Shoe Sensation, 2884 Frontage Road, Warsaw, has announced its commitment to help local children in need.
From Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Monday, Dec. 8, Shoe Sensation will help Big Brothers Big Sisters, a local not-for-profit institution dedicated to helping deserving children in the community, by accepting donations on their behalf.
Individuals making a donation of $1 or more during the drive will be rewarded with 10 percent off their purchase of a single item at Shoe Sensation. The money donated will be used to support the charity’s efforts in Warsaw and surrounding community.
For children in our communities living below the poverty level, basic necessities like new shoes can present a challenge. To help meet this challenge, Shoe Sensation, Inc. is partnering with local charities which are focused on helping children in order to raise awareness as well as contribute to fund-raising efforts to advance Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission.
“We are excited to have this opportunity to help Big Brothers Big Sisters on their mission in our community,” said Jim Quiggins, vice president of marketing for Shoe Sensation, Inc. “Our hope is to make it effortless for our customers to make a difference in a child’s life through the small gesture of donation in exchange for a discount. This is a great opportunity for all of us to help some deserving children right here in Warsaw.”
Julie Gagel, director of public relations for Shoe Sensation, has been coordinating the week-long program with Big Brothers Big Sisters. “I would like to thank Big Brothers Big Sisters for allowing us to partner with them in this endeavor,” Gagel said. “We trust, with community support, this will be a success and I look forward to being able to expand our partnership with local charities like Big Brothers Big Sisters in the near future.”
