LCA Drops Hoops Opener
WINONA LAKE – The Chris Hohm era did not start out exactly as planned, but that’s to be expected with a young team.
The Cougars started two freshmen in Tuesday’s season opener for the Lakeland Christian boys basketball team. Visiting Caston ran LCA out of the gym with an 80-29 victory.
Noah Twombly and Josh McDaniel made their prep debuts for LCA, scoring six and five points, respectively. Connor Blum led the Cougars offensively with a game-high 15 points. Brayton Jellison led the scoring effort for Caston with 14 points.
LCA takes the court next Tuesday when it hosts Bethany Christian. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
