Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
2:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, West SR 25 and South CR 900W, Mentone. Drivers: Kelli J. Michael, 34, West Holderman Road, Silver Lake and Troy Ricker, 46, Colony Point Drive, Punta Gorda, Fla. Michael came over a hill crest and did not see the Ricker vehicle stopped to make a left turn, hitting the back of the Ricker vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
9:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, East Pierceton Road, west of South CR 350E, Warsaw. Drivers: Kevin E. Mast, 53, South CR 900W, Pierceton and Roy A Johnson, 70, North West Street, Warsaw. Mast drove his vehicle from a parking lot onto Pierceton Road and struck the Johnson vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
4:41 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, South SR 13, south of East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Driver: Debra S. Westerman, 59, North Third Street, Pierceton. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
8:44 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, North CR 700W north of West CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: Douglas W. Clampitt, 53, North CR 700W, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, West Emeline Street, Milford. Drivers: Rebecca L. Beer, 37, East Clark Street, Warsaw, and Jennifer L. Garcia, 44, East CR 1150N, Milford. Beer was pulling away from a parking spot and mistakenly put the vehicle into reverse. She then backed into Garcia’s vehicle parked behind her. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:53 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, Shelden Street, north of Petro Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Edgar M. Sanchez, 19, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, and Byron J. Oswald, 24, West Boston Street, Syracuse. Sanchez became distracted while traveling on Shelden Street and did not see the Oswald vehicle stopped, hitting the back of the Oswald vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:42 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, North Detroit Street and West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie K. Metsker, 40, Pearl Street, Plymouth and Bailey A. Hammel, 17, East CR 450N, Warsaw. Metsker was northbound on North Detroit Street, preparing to turn west onto CR 300N, thought she had enough time to make the turn. She turned in front of the southbound Hammel vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
5:36 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 1800 West Center St., Warsaw. The unidentified owner of a vehicle drove to the Warsw Police Department to report she noticed damage to the driver side door on Nov. 20. The driver was unsure where or when it occurred, but believed it occurred while parked at work, behind Zimmer building 5, Damage up to $2,500.
2:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, East Main and North Hickory streets, Warsaw. Driver: James Risner, 63, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Risner was westbound on East Main Street when the railroad crossing lights initiated and he started slowing and stopped. A vehicle in front of him stopped but was close to the tracks and backed the vehicle, hitting the Risner vehicle. The unidentified driver, of the other vehicle, did not want officers called. The drivers drove to CVS parking lot to assess damage with the other driver agreeing to go to PNC bank where he would pay $1,000 cash for the damage. However the other driver left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
1:26 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, Frontage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Kelly J. Beutler 60, East SR 16, Roann and Bonnie J. Evans, 80, East Arthur St., Warsaw. Beutler was backing from a parking space at Taco Bell and not see the Evans vehicle behind him, hitting the other vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
7:32 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, Lake City Highway. Drivers: Anthony W. Kelich, 32, North CR 900E, North Webster and Amy E. Osborn, 35, EMS C24F Lane, Warsaw. Kelich was pulling out of an access road, but his view to the left was obstructed by another vehicle parked in a parking space. As Kelich was pulling out he saw the Osborn vehicle traveling south, gunned it to avoid being struck on driver’s side door. Damage up to $10,000.
