It’s never too early to be thinking about college scholarships! Purdue Extension Elkhart County is inviting all our 4-H members who are in 10th-grade through 12th-grade to a scholarship workshop. The workshops will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8 and Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the Martin Room at the Elkhart County Community Center on the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen.
Both workshops will contain the same information, and attendance is encouraged to at least one. We will be discussing the scholarships available to 4-H members, tips for completing applications, and when applications are due. The scholarship applications have been updated and a new process is being used this year than in previous years.
Members of 4-H in 10th-grade and 11th-grade can apply for the 4-H Accomplishment scholarship. 12th graders qualify for the Accomplishment and other scholarships. Most scholarship applications are due by Jan. 15. Application packets will be distributed at the meeting and can be found online after Dec. 1 at extension.purdue.edu. Please call the Purdue Extension Elkhart County office at (574) 533-0554 with your questions.
