Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:23 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, West SR 14, east of CR 925W, Akron. Drivers: Andrew E. Beck, 41, River Street, Rochester; Ogle C. Lucas, 20, East CR 50S, Akron; and Maggie A. Witham, 33, East CR 500N, Rochester. Beck complained of pain to his neck. Lucas was eastbound on SR 14 when she saw a vehicle coming westbound in her lane. Lucas drove her vehicle into the ditch but was struck by the Beck vehicle. Witham did not have time to stop her vehicle, hitting the back of the Lucas vehicle. Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
6:31 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, North CR 800W, south of West CR 400N, Etna Green. Driver: Gregory J. Felts, 43, CR 6, Elkhart. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
2:56 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, South County Farm Road, north of West CR 200S, Warsaw. Driver: Diana Maierle, 55, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
2:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, South SR 15 north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Nicholas T. Poe, 21, East CR 350N, Warsaw. Swerved to miss a deer, lost control and struck a tree. Poe complained of pain to the leg and pelvis. Damage up to $10,000.
1:43 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, West CR 200S and South SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Javier R. Martinez, 26, South 325E, Warsaw. The Martinez vehicle went through the intersection at which time he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the roadway and drove up onto a guide wire. Damage up to $10,000.
6:32 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, South CR 450W, north of West CR 525S, Claypool. Driver: Gregory A. Rohrer, 31, West CR 600S, Claypool. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
11:24 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, West US 30, east of North CR 650W, Warsaw. Drive: Rodney D. Banik, 31, Itasca, Texas. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:37 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, South SR 15 south of West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Driver: Lacey N. Shidler, 22, East CR 400N, Rochester. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:05 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, Lake City Highway and Meijer Drive. Driver: Michelle E. Polston, 46, Nancy Street, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
4:12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, East Market Street, north of South Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Erin L. Sandberg, 16, Winona Beach Drive, Winona Lake, and Teresa L. Disher, 50, Dot Street, Warsaw. Sandberg failed to yield to the Disher vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
9:56 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, West Lake Street east of Hepler Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Kylie M. Cook, 22, Nye Street, Warsaw and Heather J. Judd, 35, South Julian Drive, Warsaw. Injured: Brystol L. Caverley, 2, Nye Street, Warsaw, suffered minor bleeding to the head and taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Cook turned in front of the Judd vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
6:47 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15. East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: James D. Potts. 38, East Pittsburgh Street, Syracuse. Potts was driving his vehicle through the parking lot, with windows frosted over on his vehicle, at Owens Supermarket, when he sideswiped a light pole. Damage up to $5,000.
