Grace’s Schue Saluted Once Again
WINONA LAKE – Grace College freshman goalkeeper Abby Schue was named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week on Monday.
Schue, who has won the weekly award four times in her first collegiate season, helped Grace advance to Saturday’s championship match of the Crossroads League Tournament. She made a crucial save during a penalty shootout against St. Francis in the semifinals, and Grace advanced 5-3 on penalty kicks.
For the season, Schue has surrendered just 11 goals in 19 games for Grace. Schue, a former standout at Warsaw Community High School, has yielded just three goals since Sept. 21.
