WCHS AD Anson Honored
WARSAW – WCHS Athletic Director Dave Anson has been selected as a nominee for the Charles Maas Award.
Anson was tabbed as the District II nominee for the award at the October meeting of the IIAAA (Indiana Interschool Athletic Adminstrator Association).
The Charles Maas Award is given to an individual for distinguished service to high school athletics, the IIAAA and the IHSAA (Indiana High School Athletic Association).
“I appreciated the award, but the honor is truly due to the incredible work and dedication of the volunteers, workers, coaches and a school community that values the role high school athletics plays in the lives of our young people,” said Anson.
“Without the sacrifice, dedication and devotion so many exhibit and provide to us on a daily basis, we would not be able to serve as we do. I also believe a great deal of credit goes to our conference, as we work tremendously well together and share many of the responsibilities for event management.”
The winner of the Charles Maas Award will be named at a banquet in the spring of 2015.
