UPDATE: Accident On US 30
Two individuals suffered injuries in a three-vehicle accident at 2:17 p.m. Monday, on Lake City Highway at Meijer Drive, Warsaw.
Jerry K. Weaver, 74, CR 19, Goshen, complained of neck pain, while a passenger in his vehicle, Kim E. Banke, 35, Brook Run Drive, Mishawaka, complained of pain to the head.
Warsaw Police report Brett M. Anson, 19, Logan St., Warsaw, was westbound in the straight lane when he looked down at a bag of candy. The front of his vehicle struck the back of the vehicle driven by Weaver and then collided with a vehicle driven by Autumn R. Kindig, 29, East CR 600N, Mentone.
Weaver told police he was slowing his vehicle to stop at the traffic light when the accident occurred. He attempted to swerve to avoid the accident but his vehicle was also pushed into Kindig’s vehicle.
Damage was estimated up to $50,000.
INITIAL: Emergency personnel are currently responding to an accident located on Meijer Drive and Lake City Highway in Warsaw.
Three cars are reportedly involved in the accident.
