Salvation Army Installs New Officers

The Salvation Army of Kosciusko County conducted its first board meeting for its new fiscal year on Oct. 20.
The following officers were recognized and installed during this meeting: Chairperson Alan Alderfer, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary Jennifer Stofer and Treasurer Dennis Reeve.
“We are confidant our new board leaders will help move our organization to the next level as we continue serving the needy in our community,” said Lt. Esteban Pommier, corps officer.
Corps Officer Lt. Karen Pommier added, “Our new board officers have already served faithfully for several years and we have already been blessed by their support over the years. We only expect great things this new year.”
During the short but significant induction ceremony, the new board officers publicly committed to the six A’s of every Salvation Army board member: to be an ambassador; to be an advisor; to be an advocate; to provide access; to provide affluence; and to provide assistance.
The Salvation Army is an international movement that is an evangelical part of the the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible and its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name without discrimination.
