Jimmies Rush Past Trojans
ELKHART – Jimtown ran past Triton from the opening snap Friday night.
Nik Olson raced for a school-record 96-yard touchdown run on the Jimmies’ first play from scrimmage as Jimtown blanked the Trojans 47-0 in the Northern State Conference and regular season finale.
Olson ran for 213 yards on 13 carries with 201 of those in the first half as the Jimmies built a 41-0 halftime lead.
Olson scored three touchdowns for Jimtown, which led 21-0 after the opening quarter.
Triton managed just 14 total yards and no first downs in the opening half.
Jimtown rushed for 477 yards and out gained the Trojans 522-64 in total yards.
Max Magyar added 118 yards for the Jimmies, who improve to 6-3 overall and finish at 6-1 in the NSC.
Nathaniel Spangle led Triton with eight carries for 67 yards.
Grant Stichter had an interception for the Trojans and Max Slusser and Tristan Hunsberger each had a fumble recovery.
Triton drops to 2-7 overall and completes conference play at 1-6.
Triton will play at South Central next Friday night in a Class 1-A sectional opener.
