AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team came up just short in a 3-2 loss to Bremen Thursday night.
The Lions outlasted the host Vikings 25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10 in the non-conference marathon match.
Senior star Caylie Teel slammed down 27 kills to lead the way for the Vikings. Teel also had four aces, seven digs and four blocks in the contest.
Abby Betten had 13 kills and Jaden Biddle 17 digs for Valley.
Maddy Henninger had 27 assists and Tenaya Shull 16 for the Vikings. Rebecca Murphy had six aces and Alexis O’Connell had seven kills and seven digs.
Valley, now 17-11 on the season, will play in the Warsaw Spiker Invitational on Saturday. The field will include the Vikings, along with the host Tigers, Northfield and South Bend Adams.
Bremen is now 19-9 on the season.
