County BZA Approves Hurt Petition With Condition
Kosciusko County Board of Zoning Appeals, during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday in Warsaw, approved a petition by Dustin Hurt for an exception to allow an existing semi trailer to be used for tire storage. The property is located on Third Street, south of Market Street in Pierceton.
But the petition was only approved for three years and with the condition the trailer be moved to the rear of the building and out of sight.
Other agenda items included:
• Two petitions by John and Rita Gage to construct an oversized building and a residence addition on EMS C19B Lane at Chapman Lake in Plain Township were denied. The Gages were not present at the meeting, but a contractor indicated an alternate plan will be presented later.
• Darlene Federico was granted an exception to alter a non-conforming use, in this case a seasonal mobile home park, by reducing it in size. She intends to sell some of the mobile home park property. It is located on Hill Lake Road, west of SR 15 in Clay Township.
• Thad Cooper was granted an exception for shed sales and a variance for an unscreened display area for sheds on US 30 in Wayne Township.
• Troy Wallen’s petition for an exception for the purpose of a home based business, tree service, on CR 800W at the county line in Franklin Township was tabled until the Nov. 13 meeting to allow time for a detailed site plan to be submitted.
