Smooth Talking Democrats
Dear Editor,
Back in 2008, we began hearing from a smooth talking Democrat lawyer named Barack Obama. He was good at debates. He talked about hope and change. He talked about representing all the people, even Republicans.
At times he talked like a Republican. He even had “Republicans for Obama” yard signs. He eventually moved to the White House with his purported hopey-changey, social justice, values.
But how did that work out for us here in the heart of America, in rural Indiana?
Next week, the candidates for District 22 will meet to discuss ideas.
I’m sure Democrat David Kolbe will be a smooth talker. He’ll talk about social justice. He’ll say that he’ll vote to represent this strong Republican community in Indianapolis. He might even have some “Republicans for Kolbe” yard signs. Just like President Obama, David Kolbe will act like a Republican representing our values even though he is a Democrat.
A smooth-talking-hopey-changey-social justice-Democrat-lawyer hasn’t worked out so well for the United States. We don’t want one just like him in Indianapolis.
