Don’t Wait To Vote
Dear Editor:
I just couldn’t wait until Nov. 4 to vote for Curt Nisly for State Representative, so I voted early this week. It ended up being easier for me than I thought, thanks to the hard work of our county officials.
Since I live in the Kosciusko County part of House District 22, I went to the County Justice Building in Warsaw, 121 N. Lake St., and was quickly directed to the clerk’s office. Remember, you will be going through the metal detector to get into the building, so leave your nail clippers, pocketknife, and cell phone behind.
Once in the Clerk’s office, I showed my driver’s license as photo ID. I got my ballot and I voted. It only took me a few minutes and get this, there was no election-day crowd. Even if several people show up at once, they have four voting machines set up. I was able to vote, mail something return receipt and stop by my home all in a 60 minute lunch hour!
Early voting can be done from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from now until Oct. 31. You can also vote between 8:00 a.m. and noon, or between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.on two Saturdays, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1. Finally, you can vote from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 3.
If you prefer absentee voting by mail, or voting with the traveling absentee board, call the clerk’s office right away at (574) 372-2332 for details.
Vote early, and choose wisely by voting for Curt Nisly in House District 22.
Sincerely,
Craig Nayrocker
