Warsaw Spikers Roll On
HUNTINGTON – The Warsaw volleyball team rolled past host Huntington North 3-0 Monday night.
Katie Voelz had 21 kills as the Tigers posted a 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 win in the non-conferene match.
Caroline Mayer had nine kills and Jordyn Lindeman five for the winners, who improve to 23-4 on the season.
Blake McGarvey had a pair of aces and Mayer one. Cassie Hoag had 38 assists. Lindeman led her team with four blocks, while Hoag, Celia Heckert and Courtney Steffensmeier each had one.
Peyton Adamiec and Voelz each had 11 digs for the Tigers.
Warsaw will host Concord in its final Northern Lakes Conference match Thursday. The Tigers, who are 6-0 in league play, will look to clinch the outright conference title with a win.
The home match Thursday night versus Concord will also be a Pink Out Match, in which the teams will wear pink and fans are asked to also. Proceeds from a bake sale and T-shirt sales will go to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.
The Warsaw junior varsity beat Huntington North 25-22, 25-22. Hanna Leach and Kenzie Welk each had five kills. Alicia Sikora had 14 assists and Abby Serbousek four. Alexie Dy had two aces and Welk had 10 digs and Raina Armey five. The JV team is now 16-2.
The Warsaw freshman team beat Huntington North 25-14, 15-6 to improve to 17-5.
