Debunking Nisly Misconceptions
Dear Editor,
As the Grassroots Coordinator of the Curt Nisly Campaign, I want to debunk a few misconceptions. It’s unfortunate that some people from the opponent’s campaign don’t seem to know what Curt looks like.
At the Apple Festival Parade, one of our older volunteers rode on the side of our mobile billboard. Curt walked the entire parade route greeting people as he has done all summer in the Mermaid Festival Parade, two parades in Warsaw, the Elkhart County Fair Parade and at the Syracuse Independence Parade where Mr. Kolbe was present riding in a red convertible.
Mr. Kolbe may have stayed later, but please know that Curt was at the Apple Festival three hours before the parade, running in the 5k run and greeting morning festival-goers.
At the parade line-up, Curt visited with Team Walorski and the Elkhart County Republicans as well as some church groups preparing to march. I was present as many of us were invited to pose for a Republican group picture.
As we passed the Kolbe group, some of us inadvertently passed in front of the Kolbe photographer and I apologize that we did not realize this in the midst of so many people. Curt happened to be one who realized it and warned us to be careful not to photobomb your picture, but was in no way encouraging us to interfere.
I’m proud to be working with Curt in organizing hundreds of volunteers with his campaign. How could a candidate show more commitment than to personally talk with thousands of voters at their doors? And rest assured that Curt does not intend to represent just the 40,000 people the Kolbe Communications Director mentioned; he intends to represent all of the 65,000 people of House District 22.
Choose Wisely – Vote Nisly!
