Release Revoked On Child Molester
John M. Hale, 57, Warsaw, is back in jail after the court revoked his release on his own recognizance.
Hale is charged with a class A felony of child molesting. He was initially arrested in April and held on $50,000 surety bond. A bond reduction hearing on July 31 allowed his release.
His bond has now been set at $25,000 surety.
The order to revoke his release, according to court documents, was the violation of conditions established upon his release. One condition was he have no direct or indirect contact with children.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s office filed a motion on Sept. 26 stating Hale “has been spending a substantial amount of time in the children’s section of the Warsaw Public Library in the presence of small children.”
Court documents note the court determined he poses a risk to children and the community due to his failure to follow the conditions established by the court.
Hale’s initial arrested followed a pattern of sexual abuse on young women.
He allegedly admitted to police he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old by sexual intercourse and oral sex on approximately 20 different occasions. The mother of the girl also told police he allegedly had sexual intercourse with her, when she was in her 20s. The sister of the young victim also told police Hale would have sexual intercourse with her almost nightly between June and August 2012.
