A Fond Farewell to Walk-N-Wander
J. Seward Johnson’s life-like statue have been a huge attraction in downtown Warsaw this summer. Many, many folks from near and far have visited the city to pose and gaze upon the works of art.
But, as all good things do, their tenure here in Warsaw has expired. The statues were gathered in Warsaw City Plaza, where they await their departure.
Paula Bowman says they are headed back to The Sculpture Foundation in Santa Monica, Calif. The statues will be refreshed and touched up, then shipped off to beautify another city.
The Walk-N-Wander exhibit was unveiled on June 5, 2014 as part of Warsaw’s First Friday celebration. For those wanting one last photo with their favorite statue, hurry down to the Warsaw City Hall parking lot. The statues are set to depart this evening.
