WALKERTON – A quick start set the tone as John Glenn handled Triton in Northern State Conference football action Friday night.
The host Falcons put up 21 points in the opening period en route to posting a 46-12 win over the Trojans.
Glenn, which improves to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the NSC, led 33-0 at halftime.
The Falcons rushed for 233 yards and threw for 154 in the contest.
Triton, which falls to 1-4 with its fourth straight loss, rushed for 204 yards and threw for just 24.
Adam Dodson had a 52-yard touchdown run and a 75-yard kickoff return for a score for Glenn. The Falcons scored the first five touchdowns on the game.
Jake Strong caught seven passes for 138 yards and a pair of scores for the winners.
Jeremy Jones was the bright spot for Triton. Jones rushed for 130 yards on 21 carries, including a 62-yard touchdown run.
Grant Stichter scored the other touchdown for the Trojans on an eight-yard run.
Triton drops to 0-3 in league play.
Glenn plays at Culver Academies (3-2) and Triton hosts NSC foe New Prairie (4-1) next Friday night. New Prairie topped Jimtown 35-33 Friday night.
