Teel Powers Vikings To Victory
AKRON – Caylie Teel had another superb performance on the volleyball court Thursday night.
The senior star lit it up once again to pace her Tippecanoe Valley squad past Manchester 3-1 in Three Rivers Conference play.
The sweet-swinging Teel powered down 25 kills as the host Vikings posted a 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 25-20 league win.
Teel also had six digs and seven total blocks as coach Mallory Eaton’s team improved to 12-5 overall and stayed unbeaten in conference play at 3-0.
Alexis O’Connell also had a strong all-around match for the Vikings. She finished with five kills to go with nine digs and seven blocks.
Abby Betten had seven kills for the hosts. Jaden Biddle had 16 digs to go with a pair of aces. Maddison Heninger had 17 assists and Tenaya Shull 10 for the winners.
Madi Miller had two service aces and led the Vikings with 14 points from the service line.
Valley plays Saturday in the Wawasee Invitational starting at 9 a.m.
