Patriot Day Ceremonies Tonight In Kosciusko
Warsaw’s annual Patriot Day Ceremony will again take place on Sept. 11 in Central Park.
The annual event is held to honor those who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks and those who continue to fight for our freedoms.
Each year, the local ceremony welcomes all police, fire and EMS personnel in the county to attend. The ceremony also honors those who gave their lives locally for serving Kosciusko County and our country.
The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, outside Center Lake Pavilion in Warsaw.
Syracuse will hold a program in honor of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 and Patriot Day, 6:30 p.m., today, at Veterans Memorial at Crosson Mill Park. All are urged to attend to remember those who died that day including first responders.
The ceremony is being put on by Syracuse-Wawasee American Legion Post 223 and Syracuse VFW Post 1342. Syracuse-Turkey Creek Fire Territory and Syracuse Police Department will take part as well.
The park is located across the street from Syracuse Town Hall, 310 N. Huntington St. (SR 13).
